Living Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

1. Overview

Living (the “App”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle — or don’t handle — your data.

In short: your photos never leave your device. We don’t collect personal data, because there’s no server to collect it on.

2. Data We Process

3. App Privacy “Nutrition Label” Mapping

Per Apple’s App Privacy disclosure categories, the App:

Data category Collected?
Contact Info No
Health & Fitness No
Financial Info No
Location No (GPS metadata already embedded in a photo is read on-device only, to power the map filter — never uploaded or logged)
Sensitive Info No
Contacts No
User Content (photos) No (accessed on-device only; never uploaded or stored on any server)
Browsing History No
Search History No
Identifiers No
Purchases No (transactions are handled by Apple’s StoreKit; the App only reads purchase status, never stores payment details)
Usage Data / Analytics No
Diagnostics No (no third-party crash-reporting or analytics SDK)
Other Data No

4. Data We Do Not Collect

5. Purchase Information

Subscription and lifetime-purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple’s App Store and StoreKit framework. The App uses StoreKit to verify purchase status (trialing / subscribed / lifetime / locked) but never accesses, stores, or transmits your card number, billing address, or other payment details — those are held by Apple only.

6. iCloud

The App uses iCloud Key-Value Storage to sync a small set of preferences (e.g. gesture direction). This data:

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses no third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs. It relies solely on Apple’s own frameworks (PhotoKit, StoreKit, CloudKit/iCloud Key-Value Storage) and communicates with no third-party servers.

8. Data Retention

Since the App collects or uploads no personal data to any server, there is no “how long the developer keeps your data” to answer — everything lives on your own device and your own iCloud account, and retention is entirely governed by your iOS/macOS system settings (e.g. how long “Recently Deleted” retains items, whether iCloud sync is enabled).

9. Your Data Rights

Because we collect no personal data, there is no database to request access to, correct, or delete. To remove any data the App has stored on your device (including preferences), simply delete the App or clear its data in your device settings. If you’ve enabled iCloud sync, you can also manage or disable this App’s iCloud data under Settings → [your name] → iCloud.

10. International Data Transfers

Since the App transmits no data through any server, cross-border data transfer is not applicable. iCloud sync (Section 6) is handled entirely by Apple under its own privacy policy and data-protection measures.

11. Security

Because data never leaves the device, the App’s primary security measure is having no data-collection pipeline to compromise in the first place. In-app data is stored within the device’s App Sandbox and follows Apple’s standard platform security mechanisms.

12. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal data, no children’s personal data is collected or processed. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information while using the App, please contact us using Section 14 (though, given how the App operates as described in this policy, this should not actually be possible).

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through an app update or other reasonable means. We recommend checking this page periodically. Continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
